There is something wonderfully delightful about growing your own food! Something that starts out so tiny and grows into something that nourishes. It is a wonder that is hard to comprehend.

There is something delightfully holy about motherhood! It’s a wondrous wonder that is hard to comprehend - a miracle.
Have there been tiny seeds planted in your life that grow into nourishing moments? Our days are made up of many of them. We just have to take the time to stop and be. To have the eyes and heart to notice.

Planting seeds of goodness, truth and beauty into the lives of our own family, those right in front of us, the vulnerable in our own community and around the world can reap a harvest of nourishment that isn’t measurable like these ginormous leaves from a zucchini plant or blooming buds from a tomato plant.
The seeds you are planting may not be measurable by the visible eye, but they are something way better - life changing seeds. When those seeds you plant take root and send off shoots they have the ability to change moments which in turn change lives that change lives.

We are mixing ingredients for compost, we’re preparing soil to plant in, we water faithfully and watch our seedlings germinate and grow – as wild as the flower may look - we are trusting God for the fruit!
We are getting our hands messy. On our hands and knees turning soil - many hours, days, tears, laughter, teaching, loving and discipleship are put into that compost - and a whole lot of prayer.

It’s a messy process turning soil. It takes work in our own hearts as we cultivate soil. May we be mamas and papas who create an atmosphere in our homes that isn’t perfect, but is relying on His perfect peace.
Let us be farmers tending to hearts - seed planters - nourishment bringers abiding in the one who grows the fruit, Jesus.

Those sweet souls we are raising will flourish and leap for the Glory of God as He faithfully leads them into He created them to be.
